The alarming rate of death amongst firefighters has sounded the alarms in many State Legislatures, as well as Provisional governments. On April 19, in conjunction with City of SeaTac and Kent Fire Department PR staff, the Kent Fire Fighters hosted the annual event with great success. Our members have helped organize and participate in the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Angle Lake Park in SeaTac for many years. 100's of kids from the local community participated in the event.
Local 1747 Raises $17,300 for Cancer Research
This year 12 members of Local 1747 participated in the 2014 Scott Firefighters Stair Climb, held March 9 2014 at the Columbia Tower. Over 1600 participants from around the world participated.

For the second time this school year, local firefighters will be donating new, American made coats to children who attend Highline Public Schools. On February 4, 2014, preschool students from throughout Highline Public Schools will come to Kent Fire Department RFA’s Station 46 (formerly the SeaTac Fire Department) to be fitted and receive their new coats.
